How Does This Affect Me?

UTSA Faculty and Staff Faculty and Staff

  • OIT will provide a better and more complete process to provide access to computer system status information (such as patches), reduce system vulnerabilities and allow for better management of our inventory of systems.

  • Faculty and staff will not see any visible changes when the Configuration and Asset Management Infrastructure project is completed.

UTSA Students IT Associates

  • ITAs who manage campus computers will be able to access better, updated information.

  • ITAs will be given access to the asset manager console.

Timeline

August 23, 2010

  • Testing of the console begins (for computers with the client installed).

Changes That Will Affect the UTSA Community

  • A manager client will be pushed to campus computers.
