Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) - Support Limitations
August 9, 2011
On July 20, 2011, Apple released Mac OS X Lion (10.7). OIT is currently testing Mac OS X Lion to determine its compatibility with existing OIT-supported applications, including those provided by external vendors. Until OIT has fully tested these applications with Mac OS X Lion, we will not be able to provide full support.
In the interim, OIT recommends that employees avoid upgrading to Mac OS X Lion on computers that are currently running Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).
If you purchase a new Macintosh system, it will come with MAC OS X Lion installed and we will endeavor to support the new system, but we cannot guarantee that full functionality will be available. OIT is working diligently to fully test Mac OS X Lion and to make it available for our Users.
Please check this page periodically for further updates on our progress and an official Mac OS X Lion OIT support release date.
Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
