Student Affairs News
September 29, 2006
In This Issue:
Dear Colleagues,
Last Friday, we had a productive follow-up to the May retreat. The thematic groups are meeting regularly, and a draft is being developed for which the University community will be invited to provide input. The May 18-19 report, “UTSA 2016: Creating a Shared Vision,” is available online.
We are very pleased to announce that Jana Kennelly has accepted the position of Associate Development Director for Student Affairs. We are currently working out the details on her start date and will let you know more as plans are finalized.
The fall semester has gone very smoothly, thanks to your efforts.
Thanks for your good work and have great weekend!

Calling all Speakers!
The Office of Student Activities is seeking speakers to add to the Speakers’ Bureau. Through the program, students will have a resource to find speakers who are willing to make presentations at no charge. This is a great service to the UTSA community, especially for student organizations who do not have the resources to pay for speakers.
If you are an “expert” in a topic and want to volunteer your expertise to a student organization, please contact Student Activities at
getinvolved@utsa.edu or (210) 458-4160.
