Rewarding Your Team Members

It’s always important to reward your team for a job well done. However, when it comes to our True Colors, rewards are not "One Size Fits All." Here are some ways to reward your team that will truly resonate with their color preferences!

Rewarding Greens

  • Providing opportunity for learning and professional development
  • Listening to their ideas and innovations
  • Complimenting their creativity and problem-solving ability
  • Being open to their observations and opinions
  • Recognizing their work quality

Rewarding Golds

  • Complimenting their strong work ethic
  • Letting them know they are appreciated
  • Rewarding loyalty, efficiency, and dependability
  • Valuing their organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Giving concrete rewards – plaques, cards, money, or time

Rewarding Blues

  • Providing opportunity for professional development in human relations
  • Acknowledging their uniqueness, people skills, and ability to motivate others
  • Complimenting them in public and/or send a little note
  • Praising their imagination, creativity, participation, and cooperation
  • Demonstrating understanding and appreciation of their feelings and ideas

Rewarding Oranges

  • Giving concrete rewards – plaques, money, or time
  • Complimenting their ingenious approach to problems and problem-solving
  • Giving immediate positive feedback on performance
  • Acknowledging their flexibility, adaptability, energy, and endurance
  • Recognizing their ability to cope and react well in crisis situations
