Message from the Dean of Students

We are glad that you have chosen to join us at UTSA, and are committed to assisting you in being successful both during your time here and beyond. The choices you make here prepare you for the world you face tomorrow, and we want to help you get the most out of your collegiate experience.

One of our key goals is for each student to feel a sense of belonging on campus.  In addition to providing you a co-curricular experience which complements the university's academic mission, we also strive to provide you with a sense of place and belonging that we hope will transcend your time here at UTSA and that keeps you coming back to visit your university for years to come.

We also want you to challenge yourself in ways that foster rewarding relationships, new skills, and fresh perspectives. As an academic community, our diversity is one of our greatest strengths when we allow it to enhance our understanding and appreciation of differences. Every interaction and every involvement is an opportunity to learn and grow in ways that will benefit you throughout your entire life. We are committed to assisting you on this journey.
