Staff Development Team
Mission Statement:
The Staff Development Team strengthens the Student Affairs Division through professional development opportunities which allow staff to learn more about themselves and others. The team facilitates a Student Affairs Conference and programs with both internal and external sources about leadership approaches, management/supervisory styles, career enhancement, health/wellness and other cutting-edge, professional-related subjects.
Vision Statement:
The Staff Development Team aspires to serve as a benchmark for other Student Affairs divisions in providing professional development opportunities for staff.
Student Affairs Orientation: What do we all do?
Each semester The Staff Development Team hosts the myTraining class SD 414 Student Affairs Orientation: What Do We All Do. This mandatory class is designed for newly hired Student Affairs staff to be introduced to our vibrant division and all its departments. This workshop provides an opportunity for new staff to meet with coworkers across the division and learn about our rich diversity and the many offices within Student Affairs. Participants will have the chance to network with coworkers across the division, attend a fair where to learn about different departments and win prizes!
Being able to Communicate, Connect, Collaborate and Create across the division and campus starts with knowing what we all do! We look forward to meeting new staff members at this bi-annual event.

The Staff Development Team is looking for new members for 2013-2014. If you think you would be interested in joining, please fill out the new member recruitment form after conferring with you supervisor regarding the time commitment it would take to be a participative member.
