Staff Development Committee
The Staff Development Team helps Student Affairs staff learn more about ourselves and our coworkers in areas such as leadership approaches, management and supervision styles, career enhancement, and numerous other professionally-related categories. These experiences could occur at VPSA Director's Council meetings, special retreats, or through a series of planned classes, seminars or conferences.

Join your colleagues across the division for our annual Student Affairs Conference: New Traditions, New Successes! Please check the calendar for the conference dates and locations. If you are interested in sharing your expertise with staff in the division, please fill out our proposal (insert link). The deadline to submit proposals is January 17, 2012.

Student Affairs Orientation: What Do We All Do?
The Staff Development Team is pleased to announce that our Student Affairs Orientation: What Do We All Do is now a mandatory class for all newly hired Student Affairs Staff. Being able to Communicate, Connect, Collaborate and Create across the division and campus starts with knowing what we all do!
This workshop provides an opportunity for new staff to meet with coworkers across the division and learn about our rich diversity and the many offices within Student Affairs. Participants will have the chance to network with coworkers across the division, attend a fair where to learn about different departments and win prizes!

Wellness Symposium
Join the Staff Development Team and experts in the fields from around campus at our Wellness Symposium. Participants will learn about aspects of wellness and how they can impact your performance at your job. Please check the calendar for the dates and locations for the Symposium. There will be an optional demo lunch from 12-1. Register through myTraining for this new event!
Dimensions of Success
Grow in your position by attending our Dimensions of Success workshop. Please check the calendar for a list of sessions. During this workshop, participants will have an opportunity to learn about and discuss topics such as: Ethics, Growing in Student Affairs, Generational Differences, Social Media, an others! Registration will be through myTraining and we will send an email out once it's available.
