The purpose of this editorial guide is to promote consistency and readability in the many magazines, reports, newsletters, brochures, webpages and other publications produced by the university.
Included in this guide is information about names and places specific to writing about UTSA and to San Antonio, along with general information gathered from multiple reference works, including The Associated Press Stylebook, The Chicago Manual of Style, and Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary.
Common mistakes and frequently asked questions are addressed in the editorial guide. However, if you have a question that is not answered here, you may contact any of the editors in University Communications and Marketing for help.
