Trademark Licensing
Trademark licensing allows The University of Texas at San Antonio to earn royalty income that will benefit scholarships. However, the sale of a product with an unlicensed UTSA trademark is an infringement of the UT System’s valuable trademark rights and diminishes the ability to provide scholarships for students.
UTSA products can be made only by companies/licensees who are under contract with the university’s licensing agent, Strategic Marketing Affiliates (SMA) Inc.
More information about trademark licensing can be found in the UTSA Branding Guide or by visiting utexas.edu/trademarks.
