Research: Hydrogeology - numerical modeling of groundwater resources, hydrogeology and paleohydrology of sedimentary basins, flow in the unsaturated zone, hydrologic field techniques, environmental site assessment.
Aqueous geochemistry - groundwater quality, environmental isotope hydrology, geochemistry of brine, geochemical modeling.
Background - Dr. Dutton comes to us from the Bureau of Economic Geology, and University of Texas at Austin, Austin, Texas. Dr. Dutton brings to our education program hydrogeologic modeling experience. He has a well-established and respected research record with numerous publications and presentations. Dr. Dutton has published in such prestigious peer-reviewed journals as the Geological Society of American Bulletin, Quaternary Research, Geology, Ground Water, the Journal of Sedimentary Research, Hydrological Processes, and the Journal of Hydrology.
