Students vote on a constitution to form their first student government

UTSA students lined up to review the proposed constitution for the university’s first student representative assembly before casting their ballots in the October 14, 1976, election.

The student body overwhelmingly accepted the constitution, which was drafted by a student committee and approved by the UT System Board of Regents.
