eForms is the vehicle used to communicate an assortment of changes to the PeopleSoft Human Resource/Financial  system. Position data, job data, personal and payroll data are typical transactions processed via eForms.

eForms streamlines the entire process associated with reporting, approving and updating positon, job, personal  and payroll data. This solution allows the departments, to create electronic forms within PeopleSoft, electronically route them thru pre-designed approval levels to the final approval authority and ultimately performs the actual update in PeopleSoft.  

How does it work?

Department end-users will submit an electronic eForm, which resides in the current PeopleSoft application, to request HR and financial updates. The eForm is then automatically routed to  pre-designed approval authorities, then to HR/Payroll for processing. Once the eForm has been through the ‘vetting’ process, the data is automatically updated and saved in PeopleSoft.

eForms may require slight changes to the departmental business processes, in that the individuals creating the eForm (i.e. Hires, Terminations, New Positions, Contract Pay, Pay Rate Changes, Funding Changes, Additional Pay, etc.) will need to understand both the functional area (Human Resources/Payroll) and the funding aspects as it relates to the Department Budget Table (DBT.)
