  • HOURLY WAGE: Starting at $9.00 per hour
  • Meals provided when working an orientation program that includes meals for participants
  • Staff materials may include, but are not limited to: staff shirts, name tag, and backpack
  • On-campus Housing for fall orientation programming (if housing is provided for orientation participants)

Time Commitment

  • Fall: submit application, interview, get selected and accept the OL in Training position (OLT). Attend OLT Meet & Greet, Register for EDL 4953- Special Studies in Educational Leadership for spring and pass the GPA and Conduct review.
  • Spring: attend OLT Retreat, attend and pass EDL 4953 with the OLT requirement, get selected and accept the OL position, pass the GPA and Conduct review.
  • Summer: attend OL Intensive Training and move-in to on-campus Housing (May), work all Summer/Fall orientation programs (June-August) and Roadrunner Camp.

Application Process

  1. Review Job Requirements/Responsibilities 
  2. Submit Online OL Application
  3. Upon the successful submission of your online application you will be provided with a link to sign up for your OL Interview
  4. Select an Interview-an email confirmation is sent to you
  5. Complete an Interview
  6. Pick-up OL letter
  7. Turn-in Accept/Decline OL letter
  8. Attend OL Meet & Greet and all other required activities

Requirements

  • Have pride and spirit for UTSA
  • Must be registered for and earn a minimum of 9 credit hours and must have a 2.0 UTSA GPA (cumulative & semester) per Fall 2017 and Spring 2018
  • Must be in good standing and eligible for hiring by the university
  • Must be registered for Fall 2018 classes by May 2018
  • Must be available for all training / work schedule activities
  • May to August MUST live in on-campus Housing (if housing is provided)
  • Cannot enroll in summer courses
