My platform, Campus Connect, aims to serve as a weekly newsletter where students can subscribe to topics that interest them.

This would eliminate the need to browse individual events on RowdyLink, join every organization’s GroupMe, and keep an eye out for flyers to stay informed about on-campus events.

This will allow students more time to attend events, provide greater opportunities to contribute to campus life, reduce the barrier of entry to attending events for first-generation students, and increase accessibility for interested students.

My platform, Rowdy Wellness, would encourage students to engage with the health services on campus.

This could be done through a weeklong experience hosted in the Student Union Paseo where students can get free health screenings from a Mobile Health Screening Clinic, engage in outdoor yoga, sign up for appointments at Wellness 360, engage with the wellness center, and conclude the week with a 5k at UTSA. My goal is to promote student health, while making the process easier and more accessible to students by bringing wellness closer to campus.

My platform serves to enhance international study abroad awareness and promote student participation by improving resource accessibility.

I hope that students will gain an awareness of study abroad opportunities and various methods to fund their international studies.

This would be done by hosting in-person informational sessions and cultural events on campus.

Through my platform Change Champions, provides students the opportunity to engage in advocacy and leadership roles that may help develop them in their personal and professional life.

Change Champions will have a variety of options to choose from when it comes to how they want to impact campus. Students can make changes in sustainability, wellness and mental health, cultural and social activities, community engagement, safety and security, arts and culture, etc.

This will improve our University’s involvement in creating new ideas and implementing them in society allowing students to actively engage in their dreams that will provide better performance success rates.
