Campus services, offices make modifications for fall semester

Campus services, offices make modifications for fall semester

AUGUST 24, 2020 — While this semester may look different than others, the offices and services at UTSA are ready to help meet the needs of students, faculty and staff, whether it be with modified business hours, curbside services or access via the internet.

Campus Dining

The Roadrunner Café and campus food courts will be open with limited seating set up for social distancing. There will be no self-service buffets and take-away meals are encouraged. No POD locations will be open on campus. New technology is expected to be implemented to reduce contact, including cashless/touchless pay options, mobile ordering and self-checkout.

UTSA Libraries

Both the John Peace Library and Downtown Campus Library will be open with modified hours and operations this semester. Physical building access will be phased while safety measures are implemented for students, faculty and staff. Occupancy limits, social distancing and face mask protocols will be implemented.  Only certain spaces will be open at the Downtown Campus Library.

Students, faculty and staff can request library books and physical materials using contactless delivery service through the Get It for Me system. Materials can be picked up through curbside delivery at the Main or Downtown Campus or through delivery to a locker outside JPL or Downtown Library. For those who live outside of Bexar County, delivery to a home address is available.

A collection of digital resources and reference services are also available via chat, email and telephone. Librarians are also offering virtual consultation and instruction

Student Union

All Student Union buildings will be open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. with limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. The Student Union will continue to support students with many virtual services as well as in-person services. The Info Desk will offer live chats weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is also a calendar of fully virtual programs for students.
