UTSA Ready

Joseph Kulhanek, Dennis Gonzalez, and Rose Ann San Martin conducted the first campus visit for “UTSA Ready students. Over 150 students with their counselors, principals and other school staff engage with our UTSA staff about the many services that we provide at UTSA.

Education Talent Search San Antonio and Uvalde/Crystal City

Rosa Berreles, Reynaldo Sanchez, and Jose Herrera took their students visit the Alamo, they attended the Nutcracker and toured UTSA.

G-Force Students

G-Force students reached out to over 500 seniors in Bexar county at the ApplySA Reverse phone bank this fall where they assisted students applying for college.




TATE Update

Zio’s Italian Kitchen was the site of a dinner over 15 TATE students. Two of these student’s represented the TATE Program at the TATE Update Alamo Colleges’ Presidents and Vice Chancellors Meeting





Joseph Kulhanek, Dennis Gonzalez and Manuel Maldonado hosted the GEAR UP Parent’s Fair at Café College this fall. Over 200 parents attended.





Four LSAMP students attended the SACANAS Conference in Seattle. Over 3700 participates including another 30 faculty, staff and students from UTSA attended the conference. One of our McNair scholars presented her research during the Poster Presentations. SACNAS is committed to developing scientific and community leaders who want to advance their careers in STEM without losing their connection to community and culture. Next year the conference will be held in San Antonio.



Inspire U

UTSA mentors joined Mayor Castro at the Inspire U Kick Off at St. Mary’s University this fall.
