Downtown Campus Library
Located in the Buena Vista Street Building (BV 2.314), the Downtown Campus Library provides the same services available at the John Peace Library on the Main Campus.
The Downtown Library houses the main collections of books and periodicals for Architecture, Interior Design, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, and Social Work. In addition, the Library has a core collection of books and periodicals covering most subjects, as well as a collection of DVDs and CDs.
The Library Express Delivery Service between the Downtown and Main campuses provides easy access to materials housed in the John Peace Library. Borrowing materials from other libraries is just a click away via interlibrary loan.
The UTSA Libraries provide access to a vast number of resources online, including 345 databases, 34,500 e-journals and 422,000 e-books. UTSA students, faculty and staff can access these materials from anywhere, needing only their UTSA ID number if accessing from off-campus. Non-UTSA patrons can access these materials from any library computer.
The Downtown Library offers 36 desktop computers for patron use, and also has printers, media viewing equipment, and a high-speed KIC scanner. Laptop computers are available for check-out from the Front Desk.
The Downtown Library is a great place to study with comfortable seating, quiet study areas, and group study rooms available for check out. Library staff are available to assist students, faculty, staff, and the general public with their research needs. Tutoring is offered in the Library through our collaboration with the Tomás Rivera Center.
