What Do I Do If I Feel Sick

Check yourself

If you are experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID-19, seek medical attention.

If you are a student:

During business hours, call Student Health Services at 210-458-4142. If you need immediate medical care after-hours, call a local urgent care clinic or another provider. For all medical emergencies, call UTSA Police at 210-458-4911.

If you are a UTSA employee:

Seek medical support from your healthcare provider, or take advantage of a virtual doctor via MDLIVE.

Quarantine and Isolation

Based on CDC recommendations, members of the campus community with new signs or symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 infection cannot return to class or work until they meet the following criteria:

  • 10 days from onset of symptoms, and
  • Three days (72 hours) free of fever and respiratory symptoms
UTSA's residence halls have designated accommodations for students who need to self-isolate or quarantine, particularly for students who do not have a local residence in which to do so.

COVID-19 Testing

Free COVID-19 testing is available through San Antonio Metro Health.
