What Do I Do If I Feel Sick

Check yourself

If you are experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID-19, seek medical attention.

Students

If you experience possible symptoms of COVID-19 and need medical care, call (210) 458-4142, option 3, to be screened by a nurse and set up an appointment. You can also schedule a telemedicine appointment through MyMed.
 

Faculty, staff and others on campus

Contact your medical provider or seek care with MDLIVE or an urgent care provider. 

Quarantine and Isolation

Based on CDC recommendations, members of the campus community with new signs or symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 infection cannot return to class or work until they meet the following criteria:

  • 10 days from onset of symptoms, and
  • Three days (72 hours) free of fever and respiratory symptoms
UTSA's residence halls have designated accommodations for students who need to self-isolate or quarantine, particularly for students who do not have a local residence in which to do so.

COVID-19 Testing

Free COVID-19 testing is available through San Antonio Metro Health.
