COVID-19 Vaccine Information
UTSA is coordinating with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) regarding the administration and availability of the COVID-19 vaccine. The university will follow all guidelines provided by DSHS and the CDC.
UTSA is a closed vaccine distribution location and has currently received a small allocation of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine as part of the DSHS Phase 1A-1B distribution plan. These limited allocations will be available to priority UTSA employees as determined by DSHS and CDC guidelines. Employees identified as eligible to receive the vaccine will be contacted directly to notify them of their eligibility and provide further instructions.
We encourage our Roadrunners to continually explore and assess opportunities to receive a vaccine from community sources, such as local health departments and private healthcare providers. More information about the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines, the Texas vaccine distribution plan, and a list of vaccine providers can be found on the Texas DSHS website.
