Spring semester updates & COVID info Roadrunner Roadmap

Welcome Back Testing

The Welcome Back Testing program took place August 13–August 27. Incoming UTSA Housing residents were tested as part of the move-in process. The data from this testing program informed our planning for the campus-wide testing program for all Roadrunners.

If you move into your residence hall outside of the established move-in dates (August 13-20), you must be tested by either UT Health Wellness 360 or by the Livingston Med Lab testing location on campus no later than August 27 to obtain a COVID-19 test.

Students should use the MyMed Patient Portal to make an appointment with UT Health Wellness 360. No appointment is necessary to test at the Livingston Med Lab testing location. Test results from external COVID-19 testing providers, such as doctor’s offices and pharmacies, will not be accepted for the Welcome Back Testing program.

This testing program is an important step to manage risk of transmission and help reduce the spread of COVID-19 among the Roadrunner community.

The data provided by this program allows us to better understand the level of viral spread in our on-campus community and identify asymptomatic cases for isolation, ensuring we can make timely decisions for intervention and response.
