The Family Association is partnering with First Generation and Transfer Student Programs for a virtual social during First-Gen Fest on Monday, November 7. The event is dedicated to exploring the college experience for a First Gen family. Meet and hear from other first-gen students and their families to better understand what goes on during college, learn about how to support each other through the process, and hear about similar experiences you may have with other first-gen Roadrunner families.

Join us for National First-Gen Celebration Day and the official kick-off event of UTSA First-Gen Fest! We will have an open celebration in the Sombrilla with music, outdoor games, and various activities to celebrate our first-gen students, staff and faculty.

Join us for a session dedicated to exploring the First-Gen Identity. Learn what a first-generation student is, the barriers that first-gen students may face in higher education, and the assets that first-generation students bring to institutions as changemakers both in their lives and the lives of others. Meet and hear from other first-gen students that may have similar or different experiences to understand the various perspectives of being first-gen.
