First-Generation Living Learning Community

The First-Generation Living & Learning Community is located at the Main Campus and offers an inclusive living environment while fostering a sense of belonging for residents. Students in the First-Generation Living & Learning Community will be part of the UTSA First to Go & Graduate (F2G&G) program. This community also known as a “familia” includes a dedicated first-generation peer mentor who offers a variety of fun, professional, leadership, and experiential learning opportunities geared toward ensuring an amazing college experience.

Students that select to live in the First-Generation Living & Learning community will gain further support as they navigate all that UTSA has to offer. This includes additional connections to faculty, staff, and resources relevant to first-generation college students. In addition, students have the added connection to other first-generation peers that also live with the community.

All first-generation students are welcome in the First-Generation Living & Learning Community and are encouraged to participate in this exciting experience.
