We're focused on ensuring that students make the most out of their university experience through mentorship, student success activities, and community building.

In 2019, FGTSP was designated a “Program to Watch” by Excelencia in Education. That same year, NASPA named UTSA a top university for its programming efforts to create a supportive and empowering campus for first-generation and transfer students. Our nationally-recognized programs serve as a model for how to embrace, recognize and support these unique populations in ways that increase engagement, encourage retention and positively impact graduation rates.
