The academic campus annual benefits enrollment for 2026-2027 is July 15-31. During this time, you may change your group insurance benefits elections and add, update or remove eligible dependents from coverage using the My UT Benefits website.
Annual Enrollment Benefits Fair
This year's academic campus annual enrollment benefits fair will be held July 8, 2026.This annual event helps employees learn about their benefit options, assess their benefits needs and review selections.

Annual Enrollment Timeline

During the academic campus annual enrollment period, you will review your benefits confirmation statement via My UT Benefits.
New elections or rates go into effect Sept. 1, with deductions reflected in your October paycheck. We encourage you to review your October paycheck to confirm your deductions match your annual enrollment elections. If you discover an error, immediately email the error to The People Excellence Department with specific details, including your employee ID number.
Benefit Changes for 2026-27
New! UT Lifestyle Benefits

UT Lifestyle Benefits are optional benefits that supplement your regular health coverage with support for a range of needs. Lifestyle Benefits provide cash payments or access to services when you need them most. New for this year’s annual enrollment period, coverage begins Sept. 1, 2026.
Securian Financial
- Accident Insurance: Offers additional financial protection by providing a cash payment directly to you if an accident occurs.
- Critical Illness Insurance: Provides a cash payment after diagnosis of a covered condition, such as a heart attack or cancer.
- Hospital Indemnity Insurance: Provides cash payment after each day spent in a hospital to help supplement your health insurance.
LegalEASE
Provides comprehensive legal plan benefits that empower employees and their families with accessible, affordable legal support when they need it most.
MetLife Pet Insurance
Sees your pet as family and delivers a unique kind of coverage and care that helps them live well — not just get well — so you can live well, too.
UT Select Medical
- Hello Heart is a new tool available to eligible UT Select members designed to help members manage heart disease risk.
- Preventive Care Incentive Program (PCIP).
- Will apply to UT select covered employees and their spouses only. More details will be posted on the UT System Office of Employee Benefits Annual Enrollment website by July 15, 2026.
- UT Select Out-of-Pocket maximum will increase from $9,200 to $10,600 for individuals and from $18,400 to $21,200 for families.
- Simplified newborn baby benefit: The hospital co-pay, deductible and co-insurance will apply to both the mother and the newborn(s).
UT Flex
- The maximum contribution for the Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (HCRA) will increase to $3,400, and the Dependent Care Reimbursement Account (DCRA) will increase to $7,500 per family.
- Remember, you must elect HCRA and/or DCRA in My UT Benefits each year to participate.
Dental Plans
- UT SELECT Delta Dental Plans plan enhancement beginning Sept. 1, 2026, with no premium increase.
- Delta Dental DHMO will be modernized with a slight premium increase. More details are coming soon.
Other Insurances
- No changes to disability, voluntary group term life and accidental & dismemberment insurance plans.
- Requires Evidence of Insurability (EOI) if increasing life insurance or adding disability plans.
- Age and salary-based premiums may change depending on your age and salary as of September.

If you are a part-time benefits-eligible employee, or your plan includes coverage for a spouse, children or family members, increases are shown below.
