Talent Acquisition

Recruiting Partnership

People Excellence is proud to introduce our Talent Acquisition Partners and our newest capability, Full Cycle Recruiting. Our Talent Acquisition Partners (formerly Employment/Recruiting) transitioned to align a talent acquisition strategy and create a business partnership with faculty and staff hiring managers. Our primary goal is to provide a more efficient and effective hiring experience for managers by offering a single point of contact and full-service recruiting partner. We support all full time and part time positions for faculty, staff and executive level positions.

Our Talent Acquisition Partners are poised to assist you with a full cycle recruiting process, which includes:

    1.  Posting positions
    2.  Screening candidates
    3.  Selecting candidates
    4.  Managing offers
    5.  Preparing for employment

How can I post a job in the Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM) System?
Jobs are posted using the Talent Acquisition Management System. Hiring managers need documented approval from their area vice presidents (VP), which should then be forwarded to TalentAcquisition@utsa.edu.

How can I view and/or print an applicant’s application in the TAM System?
Refer to the Review and Print Applications job aids for instructions.

How can I review an applicant’s veteran status?
To view an applicant’s veteran information, go to the job posting, click on the applicant’s name and click on Application to view.

How do I know if I have Hiring Manager access in the TAM System?
If you currently have direct reports in PeopleSoft, you also have access to Manager Self-Service (MSS).

How can I get access to Manager Self Service (MSS)?
If you do not have access to MSS, request access by completing the University Technology Solution’s Front Office Security Request Form.

How does a “non-manager” get TAM System access?
A manager can request access to TAM for administrative staff members who routinely support the hiring process by completing the University Technology Solution’s Front Office Security Request Form.

What is a recruitment strategy meeting?
A recruitment strategy meeting is held between the hiring manager/search committee chair and Talent Acquisition Partner from People Excellence to discuss key information that needs to be shared to accurately post and start the recruitment process when filling a position. Examples of details that will be discussed include: job description, preferred qualifications, salary, advertising and recruitment timeline. The hiring manager/search committee chair will also discuss to what extent the Talent Acquisition Partner will be involved in reviewing the applicant pool and referring candidates for interview consideration.

How do I schedule a recruitment strategy meeting?
The Talent Acquisition Partner will schedule the recruitment strategy meeting when the Job Posting Funding Approval request has been signed by the VP authorizing the position to be filled. VP approval should be emailed to Talent Acquisition. A recruitment strategy meeting will be scheduled by your Talent Acquisition Partner within one business day.

How do I know who my Talent Acquisition Partner is?
Refer to the list below for a list of partners and the departments they support.

How do I access my job posting in the Talent Acquisition Recruitment folder on the Talent Acquisition SharePoint?
The Talent Acquisition Partner will provide a unique link to the job posting recruitment folder located in the Talent Acquisition SharePoint upon scheduling the recruitment strategy meeting.

To ensure we meet your recruitment needs, departments will be assigned an individual from the Talent Acquisition Partner to support them. Below is an overview of the alignment. For general questions please email your Talent Acquisition Partner at TalentAcquisition@utsa.edu.
