We understand that the coronavirus pandemic has impacted SAT/ACT test options for this year. As a result, UTSA is suspending the SAT/ACT test score requirements for its Summer 2020, Fall 2020, and Spring 2021 applicants.

Applicants will have their SAT/ACT scores automatically waived once all other necessary admission documents have been submitted. Students whose test scores are waived will go through a holistic committee review, which will include looking at high school or transfer GPA, class rank and any essays or recommendation letters that were provided. If you have not already submitted an essay or recommendation letters, please submit them to apply@utsa.edu.

We still recommend that all students have a standardized test on file prior to enrollment. Without a standardized test, a student cannot be considered for merit scholarships such as Distinguished Presidential Scholarship. Lack of an SAT or ACT score may affect meeting Texas Success Initiative (TSI) exemptions and course placement.

At this time, we recommend transcripts be sent electronically (see instructions below). If you are a freshman and your school is experiencing an issue sending transcripts, please reach out to your high school counselor and have them submit a copy of your transcript to apply@utsa.edu.

Electronically: Ask your school to send your official transcript to UTSA through either TREx or SPEEDE. TREx is preferred for high school transcripts and SPEEDE is preferred for college transcripts. Electronic Parchment, E-Script PDF and Naviance transcripts can be sent to apply@utsa.edu.

US Mail: If your high school or institution prefers to mail transcripts, please send an official, sealed copy of your transcript to:
The University of Texas at San Antonio
Office of Undergraduate Admissions
One UTSA Circle, San Antonio, TX 78249

If you’ve received dual college credits, please submit official college transcripts. These transcripts are not required for a decision.
