We often hear from alumni who share that they gave a few years ago, and wonder why we ask every year. The answer is that alumni participation rates – which are used to rank a university – are reset every year. Giving every year shows your satisfaction with your UTSA education and helps provide the resources for student success.
Another question we receive is about membership versus giving. State officials have determined that because you receive some benefits with a membership, it is not considered purely philanthropic (but is still very much appreciated!) So people who give AND are members each year are considered Roadrunner Loyal!
Finally, did you know that you can give to almost anything at UTSA? Give to the Alumni Association, your college, your degree program, Student Affairs, Athletics, or a student-led crowdfunding project—it all counts and makes a difference for our students and potentially increases the value of your degree.
