Roadrunner Nation Tailgate hosted by The UTSA Alumni Association Kicks Off UTSA 2022 Football Season
The UTSA Alumni Association is hosting a “Rowdy Good Time” with the kickoff of its 2022 Tailgating Season. The Alumni Association tailgating events are open to anyone and are not limited to Alumni Association members. This season’s tailgating events will be held at a new location, the Hoefgen Parking Lot, 499 Hoefgen Avenue, in St. Paul Square.
The tailgating fun for UTSA’s Game 1 against the University of Houston’s Cougars will be held Saturday, Sept. 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Game kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. in the Alamodome. Tailgate guests will enjoy food, drinks, activities and giveaways, along with featured guests, including Steelers MVP and XFL Coach Hines Ward and a live recording of the Alamodome Audible podcast, SOSA (UTSA Spirit of San Antonio marching band), UTSA cheer squad and Rowdy the UTSA mascot. Activities include TVs showing other college games, a DJ, yard games and SWAG, along with bubbles, chalk and a video gaming trailer for the kids. Alumni Association board members will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers, and there will be an open bar.

- Game 4 – Sept. 24, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

- Game 10 – Nov. 12, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Game 12 – Nov. 26, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
