Pandemic Management Plan

UTSA is committed to fostering a safe learning, working and living environment for our Roadrunner community. As part of our shared responsibility to do our part, the university developed a robust Pandemic Management Plan designed to limit the spread of COVID-19 and maintain the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, staff and visitors. This includes resources and tools for:

  • Conducting daily health check to check for COVID-19 symptoms
  • A portal for self-reporting positive cases and potential exposures
  • Availability of testing for students, faculty and staff
  • Contact tracing resources

Rapid Response Team

The Rapid Response Team includes critical campus partners including Risk and Emergency Management, Facilities, Housing, Security Services, Occupational Health, Student Health Services and UTSA’s Chief Medical Officer. The team coordinates crucial elements of the university’s response, including:

  • Providing essential notifications about the situation
  • Providing health and safety recommendations
  • Facilitating disinfection procedures
  • Mitigating on-campus community spread
  • Securing facilities
  • Issuing follow-up notifications as appropriate
