Meet Dalton Sturm. He's chasing his dream on the UTSA football field. The Goliad, Texas native says playing Division I football has always been his goal.
I go into each game as if it's the biggest game of the season. It's about all of us winning together as a team.”

"The support from back home has been amazing. A lot of my family and friends come watch me play, and people are lined up outside the Alamodome waiting to cheer me on," said the 21-year-old quarterback.
Sturm joined Roadrunner Football in 2014. Since then, he has worked hard and tackled opportunities to improve as a player.
He said this season there was a lot of excitement in the locker room about Frank Wilson taking over as head coach. Sturm said Coach Wilson has really gotten to know all of the players and is a great leader.
"We believe in him and he believes in us," said Sturm. "He brings great energy to the team."
When it's time to get on the field, Sturm likes to soak in the game day feeling. He said the fans' energy is amazing, and he appreciates their support at both home and away games.
"I love running out of the locker room, onto the field and seeing the cheering fans," said Sturm. "It's a great feeling to know you have students, parents and the entire UTSA family supporting you."
When he's not on the field, he's in the College of Business, honing his marketing skills. He says he values learning from UTSA's top-tier faculty.
He also enjoys spending time with friends, floating the river, wakeboarding and golfing.
From playing football at Goliad High School to becoming UTSA's quarterback, Sturm said he is proud of what he has accomplished. But more importantly, he said he's amazed at the progress the football team has made together.
"I go into each game as if it's the biggest game of the season. It's about all of us winning together as a team. I feel great about this season," said Sturm.
