Liz Rockstroh

Liz Rockstroh, Ed.D. serves as Chief of Staff. In her current role, she oversees Administrative Services and provides executive support to Executive Vice President Salazar.

Under her leadership, the VPBA team has expanded the BA Connect program, bringing meaningful events that support employee engagement and retention. Dr. Rockstroh collaboratively developed and successfully implemented the Business Affairs Divisional Awards program and Points of Pride website to highlight employee achievements. In fall 2024, Dr. Rockstroh led the launch of the Business Affairs Communications Academy, providing essential career-engaged experiential learning opportunities for students majoring in communications-related fields.

With over 20 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Rockstroh has a background in Student Affairs prior to joining Business Affairs at UTSA. She previously served in roles including Director of Student Life, Interim Associate Dean of Student Activities, and Dean of Student Affairs. Dr. Rockstroh has a unique ability to strategize on shared vision and build consensus with key stakeholders, while effectively executing and communicating projects and initiatives.

Prior to joining UTSA in 2017, Dr. Rockstroh worked for the Alamo Colleges and the California Community College system. She holds a Master of Public Policy and Administration (M.P.P.A.), and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from the University of California, Davis.
