- Awards: Develop Business Affairs awards program.
- Strategic Compensation: Implement a comprehensive strategic compensation plan.
- BA Connect: Continue to grow the Business Affairs Connect program, which supports employee engagement.
- Campus Climate: Creation of Campus Climate Action Plans.
- Leadership Training: Provide leadership training to Business Affairs employees.
- Placemaking: Develop a Placemaking Council.
- Succession Planning: Develop succession planning throughout Business Affairs.
Updates and Accomplishments
- In October 2022, Business Affairs launched the area awards program, with the first quarter winners announced in December 2022.
- In January 2023, Business Affairs announced the first annual Business Affairs Impact Award winner, Bruce Williams.
- In April 2022, UTSA announced an update to the Strategic Compensation plan. Overall, UTSA invested $17 million across various compensation strategies.
- In February 2022, Business Affairs launched a rebranding of the employee engagement program, called Business Affairs Connect. This enhanced program includes robust opportunities for engagement, including virtual and in-person events, activities, service opportunities and a monthly newsletter.
- In fall 2021, Campus Climate Town Halls were hosted throughout the university. Beginning in April 2022, Campus Climate Focus Groups were hosted in response to the Faculty and Staff Campus Climate Survey conducted in fall 2020.
- In fall 2022, Campus Climate Action Plans were presented throughout the university, giving guidance for how each division will proceed with efforts to enhance Campus Climate.
- In March 2022, UTSA Public Safety hosted RITE Training.
