We believe that leadership is for everyone, regardless of position. Our leadership programs are designed to develop key skills for the growth and future success of our UTSA students, and to encourage active and engaged participation in positive social change. From immersive experiences to academic courses, we offer a variety of ways for you to chart your own leadership journey.

Leadership & Service Floor

In partnership with UTSA Housing and Residence Life, Leadership and Volunteer Services offers an experiential learning opportunity to students through the Leadership and Service Floor. 

Roadrunners have much to experience through shared goals and values, attendance at events, and service to the community.

Academic Courses

Academic courses instructed by the Leadership and Volunteer Services staff team combine experiential approaches and scholarly depth.

Introduction to Leadership (EDL 3003)

Leadership and Volunteer Services is pleased to offer EDL 3003 - Introduction to Leadership course for Fall 2022! This course not only examines numerous leadership theories but also includes interactive and experiential learning activities to put your learning into action. As part of the class, you will have the opportunity to learn first-hand from various leaders around the community as well as reflecting upon a novel dedicated to leadership. Consider registering for this course for Fall 2022; we would love to have you join us!

Leadership and Volunteer Services' collaboration with academic partners includes staff instruction of academic courses offered through the Honors College Trailblazing the National Parks (Hon 3253), Intentional & Sustainable Living in Costa Rica (Hon 3503) and City Solutions (Hon 3103).
