Dear Roadrunners,

We wanted to let you know about a student self-harm incident that took place today between the McKinney Humanities and Business Buildings. We know that some students may have been in the area during the time when emergency personnel were responding. If you witnessed the incident or have heard others talking about it and need additional support, UTSA is committed to helping you.

There are counseling services available on campus and our staff is here for you. If you or someone you know need some assistance, please contact Counseling and Mental Health Services at 210-458-4140 and press option 3 to speak to someone 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Counseling and Mental Health Services also offers Walk-In Wednesdays each week, as well as a trauma group discussion every Thursday at 11 a.m. in RWC 1.810.

Remember, if you are concerned about the wellbeing or welfare of a member of the UTSA community, please share your concerns with our Behavioral Intervention Team. Our strength as a community comes from looking out and caring for each other.

We will continue to strengthen our student wellbeing efforts through the work of the President’s Initiative on Enriching Campus Wellbeing.
