Small Design Requests

The design of your space reflects your expression of innovative excellence. We are here to guide you through the design, purchasing and installation processes. OUA maintains the UTSA Design and Construction Standards and is responsible for design phase reviews of design documents.  

We serve as your resource for any design and construction project, and are responsible for the aesthetic review of all design and construction projects. 

OUA can assist in furniture, floor and paint selection. We are dedicated to standard finishes to create consistency and continuity throughout our campuses. You will work with our interior design coordinator for any of the following requests: 

  • New furniture: budget pricing, quotes, layouts and finishes
  • Existing furniture: reconfigurations
  • Floor selection: carpet, LVT, ceramic, VCT or rubber
  • Paint selection: standard work environment colors, standard collaboration areas colors and standard learning environment colors

As we work to ensure your design needs are met with quality products, we also take the following steps to ensure we deliver optimal results:

  • Specify the finishes
  • Approve final layouts and specs
  • Submit purchase order to vendor and follow up with ETAs
  • Help you coordinate the delivery and installation
  • Follow up with punch items (if any)
