Students are encouraged to meet with their assigned advisor to ensure they remain on track with their intended degree plan. To schedule an appointment, students may call or visit their advising center.
To prepare for your advising appointment, it would be good to review your DegreeWorks plans and major requirements in the Undergraduate Catalog for the year in which you started at UTSA. Write down any questions you may have for your advisor regarding degree program tracks, career options, and professional interests. Remember, this is a collaboration. Your academic advisor is a resource and a partner in your academic career, but you are the one who ultimately makes the academic decisions.
Have a quick question? Feel free to email your advisor from your preferred UTSA email address. Here’s a helpful guide to make sure all needed information is included in your message.
Academic advisors are assigned based on your academic major. If you do not know your academic advisor, you may log into your ASAP. Your Advisor Contact Information is listed under your Student Services tab. (*view step by step instructions). If no assigned advisor is listed in ASAP, students may contact the advising center in which their defined major is advised according to ASAP. See below for each center’s assigned majors.
