Sexual Assault Awareness Month—Call to Action Day April 3

Visit the information tables and help end sexual violence

What: It’s On Us: Call to Action Day
Who: UTSA Police Department
Where: SU Paseo
When: Tuesday, April 3, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

We can all use our voices to change the culture to prevent sexual violence. It’s On Us is a national movement to end sexual assault. Prevention requires addressing the root causes and social norms that allow sexual violence to exist.

This April, we're calling on groups whose influence can play a critical role in changing the culture. We’re strongest when we raise our voices together, and that’s why we’re engaging new groups in the movement. These groups can join us in helping the next generation foster attitudes that promote healthy relationships, equality, and respect. These new voices will have a ripple effect on those they teach, guide, and influence. And allow us to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.

During It’s On Us-Call to Action Day, attendees will be asked to make the It’s On Us pledge, a personal commitment to keep women and men safe from sexual violence. At the April 3 event, more than 20 exhibitors will provide information on sexual assault and sexual violence. Come out and participate in interactive games, a DJ spinning tunes, and a photo booth where Roadrunners can take pictures and share how they’re committing to be part of the solution.
