Two-Factor Authentication Now Required for Concur Users

November 21, 2023

Travelers will experience a new layer of security when using Concur for reservations. A Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to protect sensitive travel and financial information went into effect on Oct. 18, 2023. The change stems from a new UT System Preferred Supplier Agreement with Collegiate Travel Planners (CTP), formerly known as Corporate Travel Planners. The five-year agreement, which expires on Sept. 30, 2028, brings certain changes and enhancements to our travel processes.

Concur users must set up a 2FA for their accounts by Nov. 15, 2023. You may be prompted to strengthen your password if it does not meet the new security requirements. This is a mandatory step for all Concur users. Your account will be locked if you do not set up a 2FA by the deadline, and you will need to contact Disbursements and Travel Services (DTS) for assistance.

A new job aid is available on the DTS training page (under the CTP drop-downs) to help you set up a 2FA for your account.

Looking forward, our goal is to implement a Single Sign-On (SSO) login process. We are currently in discussions with CTP to develop a solution. Once finalized, you will be able to log in to Concur using your PeopleSoft SSO. The transition will be seamless to the user when implemented.
