Earth Month 2017--Reduce Your Global Impact

YOU can improve UTSA’s & the Planet’s Health. Be a part of Earth Month at UTSA.

Each day in April you can add one activity to improve the environment. Join your fellow Roadrunners in recycling, reducing, reusing, and redistributing. Challenge your friends and family to join you.

Week Four:

Monday: Meatless Monday AND Wednesday—add another meat-free day to each week. +

Tuesday: Set your computer monitor to switch off when not in use. +

Wednesday: Combine errands so you’re driving less; buy online. +

Thursday: Take mass transit or ride a bike. +

Friday: Write a letter to your Congressional representative or senator urging action on climate change. +

Saturday: Replace light bulbs with LED lights. +

Sunday: Turn off the water while lathering in the shower…all week.

Week Three:

Monday: Challenge your friends to reduce, reuse, and recycle—pick your favorite environmentally friendly behavior and ask them to join you for a week. Try to make your action go viral. +
- Stop by UC Paseo from 1-4 to learn about and join in on UTSA’s environmental activities. +

Tuesday: Take an e-shower +

Wednesday: Eat at least one meal of leftovers +

Thursday: Don’t eat meat nor packaged foods.+

Friday: Plant a tree—by hand or online. Visit West Campus from 10-1 for ESHRM’s Open House and tree planting and pick up an Oak Bur seedling at Surplus Property Warehouse.   +

Saturday: Ride your bike or the bus, or carpool, to San Antonio’s Earth Day celebration.+

Sunday: Vow to—and do—give up plastic bags
