BA Connect Newsletter - October 2023
Veronica Salazar
Chief Enterprise Development Officer and Senior Vice President for Business Affairs
Dear Business Affairs,
Thank you to everyone who participated in the State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) last month! Together, Business Affairs raised over $22,000 – an increase of more than $4,000 from 2022. I am grateful to all of our donors for making such an important impact in our community through the SECC. As a reminder, the donation portal will remain open through Oct. 31 – it’s not too late to participate!
There are many exciting events and opportunities to connect in October. You are all invited to join Public Safety on Tuesday, Oct. 3 for National Night Out. Events also extend through Oct. 15 for UTSA’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Football season continues throughout October, with our Homecoming Game coming up on Oct. 28. I hope you will join me in supporting our Roadrunners!
Sincerely,
Veronica Salazar
Senior Vice President for Business Affairs and
Chief Enterprise Development Officer
Timesheet Entry and Approval Get a New Look
When you log in to PeopleSoft this week, you’ll notice a new, streamlined design for the timesheet submissions and approvals pages. The new look is user and mobile friendly, creating an overall experience that is more efficient and requires fewer clicks and less scrolling. Keep in mind that you will need to recreate all “Favorites” saved on the current system. Job aids are available on the Payroll Training web page.
Join Us for National Night Out!
You’re invited to join the UTSA Police Department at this year's National Night Out (NNO) celebration on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 6-8 p.m., on the Student Union Paseo! Enjoy music by DJ Gumby, games and door prizes, and see how you would do in an impaired driving simulator. NNO was established in 1984 to increase awareness of police programs within the community. Since then, more than 16,000 communities participate nationwide.
