4.17 Contact with the Office of General Counsel

In the performance of assigned administrative responsibilities, questions and/or problems may arise that may require the advice and direction of the UT System Office of General Counsel (OGC). When such a situation occurs, a written statement of the legal problem(s) or question(s) to be resolved by a UT System attorney should be transmitted through channels to the appropriate Executive Officer or the President for handling. Contact with OGC and other UT System officials is reserved for the President and the Executive Officers of UTSA. Any exceptions to this rule will be approved by the President or the President's delegate. Should you have a question regarding legal matters, please contact one of the Executive Officers or the President. For further instruction pertaining to procedures for handling legal processes, citations, notices, demands, etc., please refer to Section 4.18 of this Handbook of Operating Procedures.
