Sexual Assault Awareness Month—Call to Action Day April 2

March 25, 2019

What: It’s On Us: Call to Action Day | Annual Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month Kick-Off Event
Who: UTSA Police Department
Where: SU Paseo
When: Tuesday, April 2, 2019 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

During It’s On Us-Call to Action Day, attendees will be asked to make the It’s On Us pledge, a personal commitment to keep women and men safe from sexual violence. The April 2 event will include interactive games, a DJ, and a photo booth where Roadrunners can take pictures and share how they’re committing to be part of the solution.

You can also be a part of Cardboard Kids UTSA, the university-wide child abuse prevention awareness campaign and contest for all UTSA students, faculty, staff and local alumni. Stop by and help decorate a Cardboarde Kid. Learn more.

It’s On Us is a national movement to end sexual assault. We can all use our voices to change the culture to prevent sexual violence. We’re strongest when we raise our voices together. We invite new groups to join us in helping the next generation foster attitudes that promote healthy relationships, equality, and respect. Prevention requires addressing the root causes and social norms that allow sexual violence to exist. These new voices will have a ripple effect on those they teach, guide, and influence. And allow us to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
