Grievance Procedures
Policies
The University of Texas at San Antonio has adopted an internal grievance procedure providing for prompt and equitable resolution of complaints alleging any action prohibited by the U.S. Department of Justice regulations implementing Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Title II states, in part, that "no otherwise qualified disabled individual shall, solely by reason of such disability, be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination" in programs or activities sponsored by a public entity.
Students who apply for disability services or who are registered with Student Disability Services who have a complaint or grievance about any service or accommodation request in Student Disability Services or in receiving their accommodations from Student Disability Services should make every attempt to resolve their concerns by contacting their assigned disability counselor or the Director of Student Disability Services. If these attempts do not result in a satisfactory resolution of the problem, students may file a formal grievance by following the grievance procedures found at this web site: www.utsa.edu/hop/chapter9/9-2.html
