Volunteer Note Takers
Services
UTSA relies upon volunteer note takers to assist students with functional mobility impairments. Instructors identify a student volunteer from whom the student with a disability can obtain a copy of class notes.
Note-takers can obtain carbonless paper from SDS or have their notes photocopied. Students may pick up notes from the SDS office or directly from the note-taker (i.e. via email).
Students should discuss any problems regarding the notes or note-taker with the instructor and SDS.
Note taking assistance is not a substitute for attending class and the volunteers will not provide copies when the student is absent from class.
