Veterans
Services
Welcome Veterans and thank you for your service to our country! Student Disability Services at UTSA would like to make your transition or return to UTSA as smooth as possible. This Veteran Student's Resources Page is designed to provide access to veteran student information and resources available in the UTSA community and beyond.
How to Receive Student Disability Services at UTSA
Student Disability Services provides individualized accommodations and support services for veteran students with disabilities. Students can talk with SDS staff to discuss referral options for a student that may need accommodations. In order to receive accommodations from SDS, you must provide documentation of your disability from an appropriate professional. See registration procedures and documentation requirements for more information.
If you have trouble obtaining documentation from the Veterans Administration, UTSA is fortunate to have the presence of the VetSuccess program on campus which is located in JPL 1.01.14. This office houses two VA Counselors who may be able to assist you in obtaining the appropriate paperwork for services through SDS. In addition, the Veteran and Military Affairs Office strategically aligns all veteran and military connected entities under one department to provide oversight, easing the transition to higher education and enhancing the overall student success of The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) military affiliated community.
