Moves and Deliveries
The Facilities Support Activities and Moves (SAM) team assists with furniture, equipment and artwork moves, as well as delivery and set-up of large items from the Central Receiving Warehouse.
Common moves and deliveries requests include:
- Relocating furniture
- Delivering items from the Central Receiving Warehouse
- Moving heavy equipment

Submitting a Moves and Deliveries Request
The steps below outline the process for submitting a moves and deliveries request. Requests must be submitted at least 14 calendar days prior to the date needed to ensure we have the proper staffing, equipment and planning time needed to schedule and complete your request.
- Access the Facilities Work Request Portal.
- Complete the Move Request form. All fields in red are required. Please provide as much detail as possible in the “Action Requested” field.
- If moving artwork, you must include an approved Art Loan Form with your request.
- Once you have completed the form, click “Save.”
- A confirmation page will be displayed after you have successfully submitted the request.
- The Facilities Service Center will process your request and email you a work order number. They will contact you to confirm the scope of the work and schedule the date and time for your move or delivery.
- You can monitor the progress of your work order using the “Search by Number” feature of the Facilities Work Request Portal.
- When the work order is complete, you will receive an email notification and an invitation to complete a customer satisfaction survey.
