Parking in academic campus garages requires a valid academic campus garage permit; UT Health permit holders must pay the posted daily garage rates.

Reciprocity: Permit holders from UT San Antonio and UT Health San Antonio may park on either campus in designated areas. When doing so, they are expected to follow the parking rules and regulations of the host campus, as if their permit were issued by that institution.
Disabled parking: Parking in surface disabled parking spaces requires an appropriate state-issued placard or plates and a valid Zone I-V permit. Disabled parking spaces are also available in parking garages at the posted hourly rate.
Additional Parking Guidelines
Faculty, staff, and students with valid parking permits from either UT San Antonio’s academic campus or UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) may park at the other campus according to the following guidelines:
UT Health San Antonio permits at UT San Antonio academic campus:
- Reserve permits are valid in academic campus Reserved Parking spaces in any surface lot.
- May also park in Employee A, B and Commuter spaces.
- Zones I and II permits are valid in academic campus Employee A & B surface lot spaces.
- May also park in Commuter spaces.
- Zones III and IV permits are valid in academic campus Employee B surface lot spaces.
- May also park in Commuter spaces.
- Zones V permits are valid in academic campus Commuter surface lot spaces.
- Motorcycle permits are valid in academic campus motorcycle surface lot spaces.
UT San Antonio academic campus permits at UT Health San Antonio:
- Executive, Reserved, and Garage permits are valid for the non-reserved parking in Zone II, III, and IV spaces.
- Employee A and Employee B permits are valid for parking in Zone III and IV spaces.
- Student Garage Permit, Student Dolorosa, or Housing (H or U) permits are valid for parking in Zone IV and V spaces.
- Commuter permits are valid for parking in Zone V spaces.
Additional Conditions:
- Permit holders must follow the parking rules and regulations of the host campus as if they had purchased a permit directly from that campus.
- Parking in UT San Antonio academic campus garages requires a valid academic campus garage permit; UT Health permit holders must pay the posted daily garage rates.
- UT San Antonio academic campus permit holders may not park in Reserved spaces, or behind gated lots on the UT Health campuses.
- Some lots include multiple space types—always check signs to avoid parking in a restricted area.
- The following permits do not have reciprocity at UT Health Campuses:
- UT San Antonio academic campus Evening-Only Garage permits
- Twilight
- Contractor permits
- Alumni permits
- Temporary permits
- Daily, or Event Permits
- The following permits do not have reciprocity at UT San Antonio academic campuses:
- Provider
- UTHSCSA Resident
- University Hospital System (UT Health Residents)
- UTHSCSA Commuter
- Parking in disabled spaces requires a valid disabled placard or license plate and the appropriate permit. The spaces are subject to posted rates in garages.
