September 2, 2025

Peanut Butter Parking CampaignUT San Antonio Campus Services is asking Roadrunners to help stock the Roadrunner Pantry by paying eligible parking citations with a donation of peanut butter as part of the annual Peanut Butter Parking Campaign.

During the campaign, customers can pay one parking citation with a peanut butter donation. The following parking citations are eligible:

  • Parking without a valid permit: $25
    Peanut butter donation: 40 oz.
  • Parking without a proper permit: $50
    Peanut butter donation: 40 oz.
  • Parking without a valid permit: $100
    Peanut butter donation: 80 oz.

Paying citations with peanut butter has a dual benefit for the university community. The campaign gives Roadrunners an exciting opportunity to swap their wallets with a peanut butter jar by paying parking citations with peanut butter, while also learning about on-campus parking, including where and how to park with their permit.

At the end of the campaign, all donations will be delivered to the Roadrunner Pantry, UTSA’s on-campus food pantry that helps students reach their full academic and personal potential by providing access to healthy and nutritious food, as well as other necessities.

Donations can be made at Campus Services on the Main Campus (Multidisciplinary Studies Building 1.01.52) or the Downtown Campus (Frio Street Building 2.424C) during standard business hours. To participate, bring your eligible parking citation and peanut butter donation—plastic containers only; no glass. Allergen-friendly donations of sun butter or other nut butters are also accepted.

Campus Services welcomes--and encourages--donations without citations.
