Veronica Salazar
Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President for Business Affairs

Dear Business Affairs,

The fall semester is well underway, and I love seeing our campuses come alive with students again! I want to express my deep appreciation to all of our teams for the essential operational support you continue to provide to our students.

Business Affairs is often described as the “backbone” of the university, and I am proud that our areas provide the framework that allows students and employees to learn and work effectively at our wonderful institution.

This month many fall traditions continue at UTSA! Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15, and I encourage you to join the events and celebrations around campus, as your schedules allow.

Later in September, I will send more information about the State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC). This is a unique opportunity for our division to give back to the larger San Antonio community, and I am excited to work together with you on this initiative!

Like many of you, I am ready for the return of UTSA football! The first away game is coming up on Saturday, September 2. I hope you will join me in cheering for our Roadrunners this fall! Let’s Go 210!

Sincerely,
