Runners, show us your artistic skills! Submit your best design for next year's parking permits, and you could win a 2024-25 student garage permit of your choice! Enter the contest from Feb. 1–29, 2024.

How to Enter

Send your design to campusservices@utsa.edu as an attachment (see Official Rules below for accepted formats). Include your name, myUTSA ID, major, email and phone number.


Official Rules

Failure to comply with official rules may result in disqualification.

  1. To enter, you must be a student at UTSA and be currently enrolled for spring 2024. Entries must be individual; group submissions are not accepted.
  2. Artwork must follow Design DOs and comply with UTSA branding guidelines.
  3. Original photography or digital art only. Include linked files or photos in your email attachment.
  4. Accepted digital formats include: Raster file at least 300 ppi at print size (Photoshop, InDesign, or JPEG) or vector file (Adobe Illustrator, EPS, or PDF).
  5. Submissions become the property of UTSA. Campus Services reserves the right to alter the design if needed.
  6. Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash value.

Design DOs and DON'Ts

What To Do

  • DO represent UTSA as a whole, rather than focusing on a specific college, department or program.
  • DO download the Permit Design Template. In the template, you'll find:
    • UTSA logo and Roadrunner graphic files.
    • Permit cutout templates in various file formats to help you design your submission with the correct dimensions and required elements.
  • DO keep adaptability in mind when designing. The winning design will be adapted to all permit types, which feature different primary colors and letters.
  • DO incorporate the letter C, Commuter Student, the UTSA logo and use UTSA Orange as the primary color of your design (see examples below).

  • DON’T use the UTSA Athletics logos.
  • DON’T alter, rotate, cover or repeat the UTSA logo or Roadrunner graphics.
  • DON’T adjust or cover the permit barcode areas, as shown in the permit design template.
