Emergency Phones

UTSA houses a network of over 155 emergency blue phones strategically placed on our campuses, and we are always adding more. You will find them along walkways, parking lots and garages, and around many buildings on most UTSA campuses. The phones are easily recognized by the blue light mounted above the phone box.

These phones are intended to be used for reporting emergencies. Pushing the call button activates a direct phone line to UTSAPD Communications as a 911 call for service, which automatically pinpoints the caller’s location. UTSAPD will immediately dispatch officers to respond to the area.
